217 km
Rain, rain, go away
Come again some other day
We want to go outside and play
Come again some other day

Today the sky is grey, very grey, so I prepare my equipment accordingly.
I make sure everything is in well-sealed plastic bags because I don't rely on my suitcases and I put on my waterproof clothes.
To take advantage of the Sunrise Trail, I take NS-337 north to Cape George and Malignant Cove and return to Antigonish via NS-245. It is a beautiful scenic road that is worth the detour with its curves and landscapes. Most of the signs are written in two languages, English and Gaelic... I love that. I immerse myself in a novel that I had loved and which takes place in Scotland, Outlander.
I then head to Cape Breton Island. The small raindrops, which teased me during my tour of the peninsula, change into a more serious downpour.
In Port Hawkesbury, I turn on the NS-105. The road, rather the highway, is beautiful, but the rain reduces visibility and the wind and the trucks shake me up quite a bit.
Returned to Baddeck, I decide that is enough. I settle in at the inn and, after a good supper, I go to the community hall where there is a Celtic music show.

p.s. This is what I looked like when I arrived at the inn.
