Mexico - Finally arrived...

After seven months crisscrossing Mexico from north to south and east to west, we have officially decided to settle down in... Tequisquiapan!

I've visited dozens of beautiful towns and pueblos. Each one captivated me in its own way and left a mark on my heart. We were searching for "the perfect place"... and they all were, in their own way, but Tequis won the gold medal.
Why here? Because it is simply the Mexican version of paradise: a Pueblo Mágico with cobblestone streets lined with bougainvillea bursting with color, a main square (Plaza Miguel Hidalgo) worthy of a postcard, and that peaceful atmosphere that makes you finally breathe like when you return home after a long journey.
We stroll leisurely, taste local wine from the surrounding vineyards, indulge in artisanal cheese (cow, goat, sheep, buffalo… a real treat), and finally, recharge in the thermal springs with their beneficial mineral waters at 36°C. We float, we relax, we forget everything.
As a bonus: pure air at 1900m altitude, a temperate climate all year round (neither too hot nor too cold, no need for heating or air conditioning), a reasonable cost of living, hot air balloons at sunrise that offer a magical view over the vineyards and fields, and… zero traffic jams! (Except perhaps on Sundays when tourists from Mexico City and Querétaro arrive for the weekend to do exactly the same thing as me).
If you're looking for me, I'll probably be floating in some magical thermal water, a glass of wine in hand, dreaming about… my next trip.
¡Viva Tequisquiapan !
And thank you! Thank you to all the people who welcomed us, helped us, smiled at us, fed us, and offered us their hearts throughout our journey. Thank you to Viri, Salver, and Rosy from Morelia; Shari and Lola from Bucería; Anita, Jorge, Liliana, Cecilia, Maya, Romeo and Edgar from Valle de Bravo; Gabriela and Sergio from Toluca; Élisabet, Emma, Milla, and Salvatore (Chabba) from Cholula; Erika and Manolo from Coatepec; Enrique from Xalapa; the extended Mensa Mexico family; Debbie, Angel, and Juan La Leyenda from Bacalar; Louise and Gaston from Puerto Morelos; and finally, Rafael-Rene, Liliana, Paz, and Silvia from Tequisquiapan.
